Lake Whippoorwill KOA - Orlando
Took advantage of Presidents Day and spent 4 days at the Orlando Lake Whippoorwill KOA.  Ev's brother lives just outside of Orlando so we spent some time with him and his wife.
The KOA has some good sites (3 super sites) and a few sites along the lake.  The super sites are large pull thru sites with all the hookups - 30/50 amp, water, sewer, and cable.  Most of the sites however are standard for a KOA - a little short and to narrow.  They all have complete hookups though.  There are a few tent sites (9) and several kamping kabins.  The restrooms are clean and spacious, they have a laundry and a rec hall with an outside sitting area.  The pool is clean and there is a hot tub next to the pool.
Lake Whippoorwill is a fairly large lake which is available for boating, fishing, jet skis, etc.  The KOA has a waterfront area for picnicing and a boat ramp.
While we were there, I played golf with my brother-in-law at a nice course that was reasonably price.  There are probably 25 golf courses within 15 miles of the KOA at all levels of difficulty and exclusiveness.  We also went to a few flea markets.  Flea World is a waste of time.  It was a huge area but most of it was empty.  We were there around 10-10:30 on a saturday morning and the place was basically deserted.  It was a bust.  Sunday we went to the Osceola Flea Market in Kissimmee - much better than Flea World.  It was not as big area wise but had many more vendors and they had a good farmers market.
We also went on a few motorcycle rides.  Going into and around Orlando is a nightmare - traffic galore and a toll booth at every corner.  We went about 10 miles and spent more than $6 in tolls.  We did go on a nice ride however to Cocoa Beach - took 119 east to the ocean and then went north along the coast.  Nice views and traffic was decent.  Stopped at a few Harley Dealers along the way to get pins.  The weather was nice all weekend.
